We are always happy to be able to use the longer ferry crossing between Belfast and Birkenhead, which is one of the few crossings that still operate overnight, and provide cabins and evening meals too.
This particularly suits our removal crews, as it is a requirement that with the HGV Removals Trucks that we use, from the UK to Ireland are governed by tachographs, and the rules include a daily minimum rest period, during such journeys, of 11 hours, so the crossing can allow the drivers to sleep for most of that break time.
The Birkenhead to Belfast ferry route is operated by Stena Line.
We also ensure that the trucks we use have comfortable sleeper cabs, so that the crews arrive at our customers new home, rested and relaxed, in the knowledge that they are operating safely and legally within the drivers hours regulations.
One of the recent removals we did was for a repeat customer, that moved his possessions from Co. Down to a quaint timbered period house in a Hampshire Village.
